ALX THE BRICK M2H 16B
Moorit homozygous grey horned ram. Born May 2, 2014.
When I sheared The Brick last fall for the first time, I was happy with what I found. He is a very muscular ram with a long body and short legs. His chest is very square and decently wide, with very straight front legs. His hindquarters are muscular and round, and his hind legs too are straight and of about an average width in their set. His shoulders and hips balance each other nicely. His parasite resistance has been good all summer long, and he has proven to overall be a hardy sheep and consistent grower. His horn set looks good so far; we held him overwinter just to make sure they were growing out alright. He is very docile and easy to handle, and is well lead trained. He is not pushy and in general gets along well with other sheep. He is still a ram and will bonk heads with other rams, but he has been very controlled about it and never caused me concern. I have not taken his adult weight yet, but comparatively he is a larger ram, like his father. He would be a great ram for a beginning shepherd because he is so easy to keep and easy to work with (though as always, must be treated with the respect that all intact rams deserve.) He has not been used yet for breeding; the only reason I’m selling him is because I decided to keep his brother TC instead.
