Cattleya

MISTYMEADOWEWE O1H318Z -[CAN]685090-H

Cattleya at two years old, just before shearing. 09.21.2014

White horned ewe. Carries spotting, or possibly is spotted. She is black, but likely carries moorit. Born April 30, 2012.

Cattleya arrived on September 11, 2012, from Misty Meadows Icelandics in Minnesota. She has a very dense, soft thel rich fleece without a lot of tog. She has a nice square build and correct conformation, with excellent hindquarters and a decently wide chest. She is extremely muscular, especially over the back and hindquarters. She has long legs. Her parasite resistance has been good, even as a lamb. Her horn should be good, but she seems to have injured one resulting in it growing weird. It needed to be cut so it would dive into her face, but only the one horn. The other looks nice, and he full brother has a nice hornset at a year old, as does her father. Her personality is quite friendly, though a little shy of people she doesn’t know. She does have one torn ear, which is why it hangs so in the picture, but she is lovely anyway. I am overall very pleased with this sheep.
